Calcutta Rescue, an Indian nonprofit organisation dedicated to improving the well-being of the destitute residing in and around Kolkata. In order to enable families and communities to escape the cycle of poverty, they provide free education, vocational training, healthcare, sanitation needs, and social support as part of their comprehensive approach.

The objective of the assignment for Simit Bhagat Studios was to create a visually captivating annual report. The goal was to capture the essence of the year-long activities of Calcutta Rescue. Furthermore, the brief was to produce a sophisticated document that communicated a captivating storyline.

We produced a 44-page annual report that seamlessly integrated design principles with an NGO-centric framework. Additionally, the report provided a detailed overview of the organisation’s initiatives and achievements over the course of the 2021–22 fiscal year.

The journey from concept to completion entailed extensive deliberations regarding the stylistic approach. This ensured that the end result seamlessly aligned with the mission and values of Calcutta Rescue.

The team deliberately opted to employ the pre-existing colour scheme of the organisation to ensure consistency with their brand persona. Moreover, the design process integrated a multitude of visual components, such as photographs, insightful graphs, significant statistics, and icons. Every element was judiciously selected and positioned in order to construct an aesthetically pleasing and enlightening story that would resonate with readers.

Our endeavours resulted in a meticulously crafted annual report that vividly depicts the story of Calcutta Rescue. This helped them generate awareness and garner support for their cause.

The 44-page report functions as a highly beneficial tool for Calcutta Rescue. Significantly, it enabled the nonprofit to effectively convey their accomplishments and objectives to donors, stakeholders, and the wider community.
