Navigating Reshamsutra’s Transformative Journey Through a Pitch Deck

An initiative that highlights the significant efforts made to advocate for traditional craftsmanship and sustainable practices within the Indian silk industry.
Pitch Deck of a Social Enterprise
A pitch deck for Reshamsutra.

Reshamsutra, a socially driven enterprise headquartered in New Delhi. It is committed to assisting marginalised communities in attaining sustainable livelihoods through the utilisation of renewable energy and local resources. Reshamsutra implements its vision by means of technological advancements, reorientation of the value chain, facilitation of market connections for rural producers, and digitisation of operations.

Simit Bhagat Studios embarked on the task of creating a comprehensive 30-page pitch deck for Reshamsutra. The objective was to produce a visual narrative that depicted the organisation’s transformative trajectory. We placed a particular emphasis on programmes, impact metrics, sustainability strategies, and collaborations with current and former donor organisations.

The result is a pitch deck that not only encapsulates the fundamental principles of Reshamsutra’s work, but also aligns with the organisation’s values. In addition to visuals, the deck reveals the labour-intensive and traditional process of silk yarn production through the use of hand-drawn illustrations.

The design phase aimed to create a visually compelling narrative for the pitch deck. Tribal colours and motifs were the initial source of inspiration. Our team conducted additional research on these elements and refined them into key elements that would embody the distinctive identity of Reshamsutra.

Design thoughts, style ideas, a mood board, and a suggested colour palette were presented to Reshamsutra to kick off the process. Through a collaborative exchange, we were able to match the organisation’s objectives with our own creative vision and facilitate a dialogue that refined the design direction.

Reshamsutra provided us images of traditional Indian paintings. Throughout the process, we upheld an intricate equilibrium between the dynamic and culturally abundant elements. The end result was an elegant and credible design that paid homage to Reshamsutra’s Indian heritage.

In order to communicate the complex intricacy of Reshamsutra’s crafts, we integrated hand-drawn motifs, symbolic elements of wool threads, and illustrations.

The purpose of selecting these elements was for aesthetic reasons. Furthermore, it was also to convey a story through imagery that offered a more nuanced understanding of the organisation’s mission. The finished design concept was the result of several iterations and refinements. Working together, we were able to create a pitch deck that really embodies the values and goals of Reshamsutra.

The deck serves as testament to the successful partnership between Simit Bhagat Studios and Reshamsutra. The rigorous procedure sought to accomplish two things: produce a visually captivating pitch deck and establish a cohesive integration of Reshamsutra’s narrative and purpose while showcasing its corporate professionalism and cultural diversity.

The resulting creative endeavour not only captivates the audience but also effectively conveys Reshamsutra’s objective and impact to potential stakeholders.
